We are settled in at our new store location at 16020 King Rd., Riverview, Michigan! We are preparing for the next big A.C.T. scheduled on Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Our next workshop is: Sunday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Cost $110.
If your student is a junior, you should have a copy of their A.C.T. scores from March. On the score sheet you will see the composite score and below it, the breakdown of scores by subject. A.C.T. deems your student as College Ready with the following minimum scores:
English: 18; Mathematics: 22; Reading: 21; Science: 24.
If any of these scores are below that level, you should consider another attempt at the test. Why? Scholarships are more attainable with higher scores coupled with a good GPA (grade point average). Some colleges require a certain score and a certain GPA. If your student submitted scores to colleges, that information will be at the bottom of the score sheet.
We've had students in our workshops increase their scores by as much as 10 points, and still come back for higher scores to get more scholarship money. An increase of 10 points is unusual. The average increase reported to us has been 3 points in the composite score.
Why choose our workshop? We keep our classes small at 6-8 students. Students are sure to get their questions answered in a small group setting. Our students take practice tests, learn how the test is scored, and testing strategies. Private tutoring with our instructor, Terry Laesser, is also available.
